ISO 9001:2008 Quality management |
Quality management is part of functional management and has the goal of optimizing work processes and business processes, while keeping in mind substantive and temporal quotas andpreserving the quality of services and further development. The goal is to fulfill customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction, including continuous improvement of the system and ensuring compliance with the requirements of customers and the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for certification of quality management Systems. |

EN ISO 13485 Medical devices – Quality management systems |
ISO 13485 specifies the requirements for a quality management system for medical devices. This standard is based on ISO 9001 and includes additional required provisions that are specifically targeted to medical technology devices. |

EN ISO 17020 Accredited inspection Agency |
The aim of the inspection agency is to implement recurrent checks to ensure the proper and safe operation of medical technology devices, and sterilization, disinfection and hygiene devices. |

ISO 19600 Compliance Management |
ISO 19600 is an international standard and contains guidelines for the use of compliance management systems. These types of systems help in the recognition and understanding of, and appropriate responses to, the risks of irregular behavior. ISO 19600 also enables the establishment of proof that everyone involved acts according to the rules and that managers fulfill their obligations to a sufficient extent. Other objectives include the evaluation of the effectiveness of compliance measures and communication regarding these, as well as ongoing process improvement. As an ISO standard, it is internationally consistent and intended to offer cross-border organizations and companies a reliable and applicable system for behavior that is compliant with rules. |

EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management |
An organization that implements an environmental management system is committed to the continuous improvement of its entire environmental performance and to the use of processes, methods, materials or products that prevent, reduce or control environmental pollution, as well as their environmentally relevant review. Added to this is the obligation to comply with the relevant environmental laws and regulations, as well as to provide open internal and external communication about corporate environmental protection. EN ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system (EMS), with the goal of systematization and improvement of operational measures to protect people and nature, to promote environmental protection and to prevent environmental pollution. Based on the analysis of material and energy flows, options and targets for the reduction of waste, wastewater and emissions are developed. |

ISO 50001 Energy |
In the context of its energy management system, VAMED is committed to an increase in efficiency and the sustainable use of energy and naturally limited resources. It views this as an important part of its business activities that contributes to its current and future economic success. In all of its activities, VAMED is committed to ensuring that its natural resources are handled as protectively as possible. In the procurement of systems and equipment, VAMED attaches great importance to ensuring that they feature a high level of energy efficiency while complying with economic principles. The advisory, planning and management services provided by VAMED are implemented in accordance with ISO 50001 and in coordination with VAMED's customer requirements, while keeping in mind energy efficiency and sustainability to the greatest extent possible. |

In 2015, VAMED received a very special certificate for its planning and construction of the Rehabilitation Clinic Enns: the LEED Certificate in Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
This certificate was awarded for the sustainable quality of location, efficient water supply, optimized energy consumption, economical use of materials, as well as user satisfaction.
In 2014, VAMED also received the Certificate in Silver from ÖGNI, the Austrian Sustainable Building Council, for the construction of the Oncological Rehabilitation Center St. Veit im Pongau.
This was the first certification of that kind received by a healthcare facility worldwide.
KTQ - Cooperation for Transparency and Quality
In 2010, VAMED received the CTQ Certificate for its operation of the Neurological Rehabilitation Center Rosenhügel for the first time. The CTQ Certificate (Cooperation for Transparency and Quality), going beyond the boundaries of occupational groups and hierarchical levels, assesses a facility's complete range of services with a particular focus on:
- Patient orientation
- Ensuring staff orientation
- Safety in the hospital
- Information management
- Hospital management
- Quality management
For healthcare facilities, VAMED also applies the Clinical Care Program certification by JCI (Joint Commission International).
So far, four VAMED-managed facilities in the Czech Republic and in Austria have received JCI top quality awards: in patient care, in hygiene and safety, as well as in patient and staff satisfaction.
The Neurological Therapy Center Kapfenberg in Austria is one example of VAMED's leading facilities and has already received JCI Certification four times, as well as the Neurological Therapy Center Gmundnerberg and the Rehabilitation-Clinic Montafon - Schruns.
E-Qalin
E-Qalin is a quality management system, specifically designed for inpatient nursing work, facilities for people with disabilities, mobile / outpatient services as well as social centers with the services: training, consulting and certification.
Characteristic of E-Qalin is the action learning approach involving all hierarchical levels of an organization and promotes the active participation of employees. There are qualified individuals (managers) that set a organization-wide learning process for quality management in transition.
NQZ
The National Quality Certificate for care homes (NQZ) is an Austria-wide uniform sector specific foreign review process for objectified evaluation of the quality of performance of nursing homes in Austria.
In 2012, VAMED was the first company worldwide to receive the ECRI Certificate for Medical Equipment Management.
This means that VAMED has met the most challenging requirements set by the American National Standards Institutes (ANSI) and the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
The VAMED Vitality World spa guarantees highest quality. For their extraordinary achievements the resorts of the VAMED Vitality World have won prestigious Awards. In 2017 VAMED Vitality World won for the seventh time the World Travel Award as "World's Best Thermal Spa & Medical Wellness Operator".
